This week is ‘National Apprenticeship Week 2022’ and we wanted to re-introduce you to Izzy, our Business and Digital Marketing Co-Ordinator, who you have probably seen quite a bit of over the years on our social media and website. Izzy has taken on a very exciting challenge in 2022 and wanted to share a bit more about it with you to celebrate National Apprenticeship Week!

1. What is your current role at CC Infrastructure Services?
My role is Business and Digital Marketing Co-Ordinator. I work in a very close knit team within the Sales & Marketing department, carrying out a range of different jobs on a day-to-day basis. These jobs range from handling new enquiries and business leads to looking after the company’s social media and website. My role is very interesting as no day is the same.
I have been with CC Infrastructure Services since 2018, where I joined following my A-Levels to carryout my Business Administration Apprenticeship. Once that was complete, I was given a full time role as Business Support Assistant, before starting my current role and Apprenticeship.
2. Tell us about your Apprenticeship…
I am currently completing my ‘Digital Marketing Level 3 Apprenticeship’. Ever since I was doing my A-Levels I had an interest in business and marketing, when I joined CC Infrastructure Services as a ‘Business Administration Apprentice’ back in 2018 it was clear to both myself and my team that marketing was the area I was most passionate about and thrived in. I completed my Business Administration Apprenticeship back in early 2020 and since then have been given the fantastic opportunity of completing another, more marketing specific qualification. This qualification is giving me an in-depth insight into B2B marketing and I am very excited to start implementing what I am learning.
3. What are your plans after your Apprenticeship is complete?
My Apprenticeship is 15 months long and I will be finishing in early 2023. Once my qualification is complete I am hoping to continue developing my role at CC Infrastructure Services and really implement everything I have learnt and start to increase the company’s marketing and online presence. I am excited to learn about the analytics behind different marketing strategies and look at how we can improve what we are currently doing as well.
4. What would your top tips to those looking to do an Apprenticeship?
Number 1 would be DO IT! I am so glad that I chose this route when I left sixth form. Learning whilst on the job and in an office/real life environment has been so valuable to where I am right now. Since the moment I started in my Apprenticeship role I was given responsibilities and found myself on sites, having client meetings and really getting stuck in, this is all stuff that I would have missed out on had I gone to university, or at least pushed it back for quite some years. Number 2 would be investigate the company as well as the qualification. Both the qualification and the company are so important, you are signing yourself up for a few years of studying and you have to make sure that, like a university, that it is the right thing for you. I am extremely lucky that I found CC Infrastructure Services, they have supported me throughout both qualifications and have always encouraged me to do my best. Studying takes up a lot of time, so having that support network around you is paramount.
Thank you Izzy, for that great insight into both of your Apprenticeship qualifications.
